Mostly known for spending the holidays in summer, but there is so much to see and do, that you can easily spend your spring, autumn and winterbreak here as well. SHOPPING
For the ones that love to include some shopping in the bigger cities, Ribérac is a perfect hub. The city of Périgueux is just half an hour away and has a charming town centre with lots of shops. Bergerac is a bit further away - about 45 minutes - and is as charming. Angoulème, just over the border with Charente, is a lovely city with great high street shopping, from small French stores to the bigger international chains. And if that's not enough, head to Bordeaux. There is a big shopping mall just outside the centre, but the beautiful town centre is well worth the visit. From cheap to (very...) expensive luxury brands, from local to international stores, you name it.
